Thanksgiving Meals
Many families we serve do not have proper cooking facilities. Friends of SoZo Kids provides fully-prepared Thanksgiving meals for approximately 50 families. Link to the Thanksgiving means project

Angel Tree Christmas Project
Every kid believes in Santa and Friends of SoZo Kids has the privilege of being the “Ho-ho-ho” man himself. Friends of SoZo Kids collects Christmas Wish Lists from kids and our donors and supporters have the opportunity to purchase gifts or donate cash to ensure every child has a Merry Christmas! Christmas Hams
The families and SoZo Kids we support living in abject poverty. Friends of SoZo Kids provides 200 families with Christmas hams so that their families can gather around the table just like all of us to have a Merry Christmas dinner. Link to …

During the school year, Friends of SoZo Kids provides adult volunteers to staff the after-school programs Mondays-Wednesdays at two different community centers located in the Ocala National Forest.

For six weeks in June and July Friends of SoZo Kids provides volunteers to staff this summer program at Forest Lakes Park Community Center in the Ocala National Forest.

For six weeks in June and July, Camp SoZo provides a fun 4 day/3 night sleepaway camp program. Children living in the Ocala National Forest as well as other children from churches and groups participate in leadership programs and lots of summer fun!

In 2021 Friends of SoZo Kids awarded its first-ever Scholarships to 3 High School graduates seeking post-secondary education and careers to break the cycle of poverty. Our Awards focus on the 'extraordinary' costs that these kids face (i.e. computers and software, tools, etc.).
