We are an all-volunteer led IRS-approved 501c3 nonprofit with a Board of Directors and hundreds of volunteers and donors. We are organized into Standing Committees and meet bi-monthly to make decisions on how to ensure funding from our donors and our programs are impacting children living in abject poverty in the Ocala National Forest. We especially are in need of people with skills in event planning, fundraising, social media, and nonprofit management.
Because of the passion of our Board of Directors and generous donors like you, we have been able to significantly improve the quality of the after-school programs by introducing and funding a Robotics program and other essential education modules. We initiated the dinner meal program, and we fund scholarships for the SoZo Kids Summer Sleepaway Camp and for SoZo Kids seeking post-secondary career opportunities. We host our annual Back-to-School Bash and Christmas Angel Project, and we have awarded thousands of dollars in grants to The Help Agency for operational and facilities improvement projects. Our greatest joy in serving as Board Members is knowing we are making a difference in the lives of the children we serve.
