Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Friends of SoZo Kids. We have numerous opportunities to volunteer based on your interests, skills and schedule availability.
After School Volunteer Opportunities:
The After School Program runs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons for grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. You can volunteer for one, two or three days per week based on your schedule.
Working with the Kids sharing your skills and talents whether it be reading to the children, serving food helping with arts & crafts, teaching them new skills, and more.
Preparing a meal in your home to be transported and served cafeteria-style to the Kids.
Annual Volunteer Opportunities:
- Sneakers and Undies Drive - Collections in March and April
- Back To School Bash - Backpack & School Supplies Giveaway and Sizing/Fitting kids for sneakers (1st Saturday in August)
- Christmas Angels Project - Donation Fulfill SoZo Kids Wish Lists with Toys & Clothing - collections in November and December
- Your Own Fundraiser
Summer Day Camp Program at Forest Lakes Park
On Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays for 6 weeks during the summer, Friends of SoZo Kids provides volunteers for a fun day camp program. Not only is this program fun, but it also provides breakfast and lunch because kids are not able to access the free breakfast & lunch program at school.
