After School Opportunity
Welcome to the Sozo Kids after school centers. I appreciate you volunteering to help out in the areas of need at the centers. Prior to completing your 3rd visit to center of choice, you are asked to make an appointment to complete the fingerprint procedure. The directions are attached.
To volunteer please go to www.friendsofsozokids.com. Click on the volunteer button, pick a center, date and area you would like to sign up for. Scroll down to the end of the screen and click on save and update. It will then ask you to fill in your name, address, email and phone number. You are not obligated to volunteer at just one site; we welcome your help at both. If you have flexibility when signing up on line, choose the site needing the most help.
Food Provider: Make enough food for specified center children. When you sign up online you can choose the date and center you would like to prepare food for. If you cannot deliver it let me know so I can arrange a pick up from you and have it delivered to the appropriate center. You will find a list of popular menu choices that the children will eat. You will receive an email notification when you sign up and a reminder the week prior with an option of donating your items/food (Gift in Kind) or a reimbursement form which a check will then be sent to you.
Kitchen Volunteer: Set up, serve and clean up after meal is over. Pack up any leftover food to be distributed to families in need. If you bring food and want to stay to help out with this, we very much appreciate it.
Classroom Volunteer: If you are good at planning a fun activity for all ages (k-5th grade) we welcome your expertise. If you would like to assist the kids and just spend time with them, we appreciate this as well.
