We collect packs of new underwear for children ages 5-17, plus sports bras for girls, and help distribute them at the Back-to-School Bash & at the holidays.
Donations of new socks, underwear, and sports bras may still be dropped off in the bin in the lobby of North Lake Presbyterian Church, 975 Rolling Acres Road.
Angel Tree Project
We help coordinate the solicitation, collection, recording, and acknowledg-ing of donations of new shoes, clothing, toys, toiletries, and electronics for more for 150 named children at the holidays and contribute toward gifts for hundreds more. We also help with gift-wrapping, play Santa and Mrs. Claus in parades and at holiday parties, and donate toward holiday meals for the children and their families.

Sneakers in June
We received 1,000 new pairs of sneakers at our June 6 and July 25 drive-thru events. But we still need many more. You know, those kids keep growing and wear out their shoes!
Drop off new, quality sneakers for boys and girls, ages 5-17, in the bin in the lobby of North Lake Presbyterian Church, 975 Rolling Acres Road. Watch for "senior shopping days" and store sales to maximize the value of your purchases. Or donate cash to us and we will shop for you.
Churches are encouraged to enter a friendly challenge with one another to buy sneakers. For more information, write to FriendsOfSoZoKids@gmail.com.
We collect donations and building a special fund to offset the cost of big-ticket items, such as vehicles to transport kids, food supplies, or whatever needs to be moved; building or property maintenance; and emergencies. If you would like to contribute to this effort, CLICK HERE.
Foster Kid Care Kits
The Help Agency of the Forest Inc. (aka SoZo Kids) assists the county when children in the Forest are suddenly placed into foster care.
The Friends of SoZo Kids Inc. helps by providing items for those kits, such as NEW PJs, toiletries, clothing, weighted blanket, stuffed animals, and more.
You may drop these items off in the bin at North Lake Presbyterian Church. Or CLICK HERE to donate toward the totebags and weighted blankets, which we buy in bulk.
Volunteers regularly suggest other projects for us to support. Examples include preparing activity kits for children to use at home during the summer; preparing healthful meals for the after-school or summer program; or obtaining, cleaning, and preparing used cellphones so that children can down-load games or music (they don't have cellphone service) and access 911. We encourage volunteers to come up with their own fundraisers.
We collect school supplies, new sneakers, underwear, and toiletries at drive-thru collections and other events throughout the spring and summer. We also collect cash donations to purchase about 1,000 mesh backpacks. All items are distributed to the children in advance of the start of school in August. Donations can still be dropped off in the collection bin in the lobby of North Lake Presbyterian Church, 975 Rolling Acres Road.
We sponsor fundraisers and collect donations to support 10 teams of Rookies to Majors, cover individual fees, provide equipment, and help with field maintenance and upkeep.
We also provide volunteer coaches and referees.
